There’s no need to spell out “Members of Parliament” on first use, unless you are writing for an international audience. Do spell out “Members of the European Parliament” and “Members of the Scottish Parliament” on first use though, giving the abbreviation in brackets afterwards. Afterwards, say MEPs and MSPs rather than Euro-MPs and Scottish MPs.
