Adjectives

Adjectives

Adjectives describe nouns. They can come after the noun if you use a word like am, is, or are: I am honest; he is stupid; she is graceful; the river is serene. They can also come before a noun: an honest man; the stupid fool; that graceful dancer; this serene river. If a word is used in one of these ways, it is an adjective.
