Robert Taylor

Media Trainer

My main passion is media training, and I’m proud to be one of the UK’s most experienced and successful trainers in this field.

Robert Taylor

For more than a decade I’ve trained statesmen and stateswomen, politicians, chief executives and chairmen who are about to speak live on TV, directors preparing for interviews with the international press and national radio stations, and managers learning how to get the best out of their trade or local media.

I’ve trained throughout the world, including assignments in the US, Brazil, China, India, Singapore, Africa, Ukraine, Georgia and many other European countries. My trainees include political leaders from several countries, more than a thousand spokespeople for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for International Development and the British Council, including ambassadors and other senior embassy officials.

My many other clients have included the entire executive management teams of the Olympic Delivery Authority for London 2012, senior executives at BT, British Airways, Accenture, FedEx, SAP, Orange, Oracle and SITA (the air transport company), and a huge range of public-sector bodies and charities. I was the leading media trainer of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations between 2008 and 2016, consistently receiving excellent feedback from delegates, and have now become an approved media trainer for the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).

I began my career as a TV executive in Asia, and went on to become a contributor to the International Herald Tribune and an international communications advisor. Though I now dedicate my time to media training, I still write columns for the American Spectator about British and European affairs, and make broadcast media appearances to discuss political and communications issues.
